In secondary school I was big into sports, I had no plans to go to university. I found my calling in rugby league, played all through school, and gained a scholarship with Sheffield Eagles. I then went to Club Doncaster Foundation College to do a BTEC level 3 in sports and exercise science. During this time my rugby career took off, I was offered a trial for Yorkshire and became the only Doncaster born player to represent Yorkshire that year, this then led to me being called up to join the Doncaster Dons RLFC first team. However, towards the end of my college life, I could see my grades were poor, I put so much effort into rugby that I forgot about my education. I gave myself an ultimatum and chose to fix my grades and head to university.

I completed my undergraduate degree in York, along with my Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute. It really ignited something within me, I wanted more. I sought out the hardest possible challenge for myself with my master's degree, I won a full scholarship to complete a dual master's in advanced international business management and international business management. When I came back to live in the UK in 2022, I had big decisions to make about my direction in life. I chose to stay here in Doncaster and contribute to making the city that raised me, a great place to live.

Fun fact: I’m a former rugby league player, at 17 years old I was the youngest player to be involved with the Doncaster Dons RLFC.

What people appreciate about me: My politeness, kindness, insight, and ability to navigate difficult situations.

What is important to me: Continuously learning, maintaining happiness, creating a positive impact, my family, my dog Luna.

The thing I enjoy best about being part of Well Doncaster: The opportunity to do meaningful work, being able to use my knowledge and time to provide back to the city that made me who I am today.
